¹⁶ Then they journeyed from Bethel; and there was still some distance to go to ^(A)Ephrath, and Rachel gave birth, and she ^[a]suffered severely in her labor. ¹⁷ Now it happened that when she was in severe labor the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for now ^(B)you have another son.” ¹⁸ Now it happened as her soul was departing (for she died), that she named him ^[b]Ben-oni; but his father called him ^[c]Benjamin. ¹⁹ So ^(C)Rachel died and was buried on the way to ^(D)Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). ²⁰ And Jacob set up a pillar over her grave; that is the ^(E)pillar of Rachel’s grave to this day. ²¹ Then Israel journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the ^[d](F)tower of ^[e]Eder.
