Genesis 35:2-4

2 So Jacob said to his (A)household and to all who were with him, “Put away (B)the foreign gods which are among you, and (C)purify yourselves and change your garments; 3 and let us arise and go up to Bethel, and I will make (D)an altar there to God, (E)who answered me in the day of my distress and (F)has been with me [a]wherever I have gone.” 4 So they gave to Jacob all the foreign gods which [b]they had and the rings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the [c]oak which was near Shechem.

2 So Jacob said to his household(A) and to all who were with him, “Get rid of the foreign gods(B) you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes.(C) 3 Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God,(D) who answered me in the day of my distress(E) and who has been with me wherever I have gone.(F)” 4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears,(G) and Jacob buried them under the oak(H) at Shechem.(I)
