^3 (A)Sojourn in this land, and ^(B)I will be with you and will bless you, for ^(C)to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(D)the oath that I swore to Abraham your father. ^4 (E)I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And ^(F)in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, ⁵ because ^(G)Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

⁹ God appeared^[a] to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him. ¹⁰ And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; ^(A)no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but ^(B)Israel shall be your name.” So he called his name Israel. ¹¹ And God said to him, ^(C)“I am God Almighty:^[b] be ^(D)fruitful and multiply. ^(E)A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.^{[c] 12 (F)}The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.” ¹³ Then God ^(G)went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him.
