⁴² “When I came to the spring today, I said, ‘Lord, God of my master Abraham, if you will, please grant success^(A) to the journey on which I have come. ⁴³ See, I am standing beside this spring.^(B) If a young woman^(C) comes out to draw water and I say to her, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar,”^(D)

⁵ And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God,^(A) who is from everlasting to everlasting.^[a]”

²⁵ And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”^(A)

¹³ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast^(A) and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’^(B)
