Genesis 24:39-41

39 I asked my master, “What if the young woman refuses to come with me?”
40 My master answered, “I have always obeyed the Lord, and he will send his angel to help you find my son a wife from among my own relatives. 41 But if they refuse to let her come back with you, then you are freed from your promise.”

39 “Then I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not come back with me?’(A)
40 “He replied, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked faithfully,(B) will send his angel with you(C) and make your journey a success,(D) so that you can get a wife for my son from my own clan and from my father’s family.(E) 41 You will be released from my oath if, when you go to my clan, they refuse to give her to you—then you will be released from my oath.’(F)

39 (A)And I said to my master, ‘Perhaps the woman will not follow me.’ 40 (B)But he said to me, ‘The Lord, (C)before whom I walk, will send His angel with you and [a]prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son from my family and from my father’s house. 41 (D)You will be clear from this oath when you arrive among my family; for if they will not give her to you, then you will be released from my oath.’
