Genesis 22

22 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
21 Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22 And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
23 And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.

Abrahamu sì dáhùn pé, “Èmi nìyí.”
2 (B)Ọlọ́run sì wí pé, “Mú ọmọ rẹ, àní Isaaki ọmọ rẹ kan ṣoṣo nì, tí ìwọ fẹ́ràn, lọ sí ilẹ̀ Moriah, kí o sì fi rú ẹbọ sísun níbẹ̀ lórí ọ̀kan nínú àwọn òkè tí èmi yóò sọ fún ọ.”
3 Abrahamu sì dìde ní kùtùkùtù òwúrọ̀ ọjọ́ kejì, ó sì di kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́ rẹ̀ ní gàárì, ó sì mú méjì nínú àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ àti Isaaki ọmọ rẹ̀, ó sì ṣẹ́ igi fún ẹbọ sísun, ó sì gbéra lọ sí ibi tí Ọlọ́run ti sọ fún un. 4 Nígbà tí ó di ọjọ́ kẹta, Abrahamu gbé ojú sókè, ó sì rí ibi tí ó ń lọ ní òkèrè, 5 Abrahamu sì wí fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ̀yin, ẹ dúró níhìn-ín pẹ̀lú kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́, èmi àti ọmọ yìí yóò lọ sí ohunkóhun láti sin Ọlọ́run, a ó sì tún padà wá bá a yín.”
6 Abrahamu sì gbé igi ẹbọ sísun náà ru Isaaki, òun fúnrarẹ̀ sì mú iná àti ọ̀bẹ. Bí àwọn méjèèjì ti ń lọ, 7 Isaaki sì sọ fún Abrahamu baba rẹ̀ wí pé, “Baba mi.”
Abrahamu sì dalóhùn pé, “Èmi nìyí ọmọ mi.”
Isaaki sì tún wí pé, “Wò ó iná àti igi nìyí, ṣùgbọ́n níbo ni ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn fún ẹbọ sísun náà wà?”
8 Abrahamu sì dáhùn pé, “Ọmọ mi, Ọlọ́run fúnrarẹ̀ ni yóò pèsè ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn fún ẹbọ sísun náà.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwọn méjèèjì jùmọ̀ ń lọ.
9 (C)Nígbà tí wọn sì dé ibi tí Ọlọ́run sọ fún Abrahamu, ó mọ pẹpẹ kan, ó sì to igi lé e lórí, ó sì di Isaaki ọmọ rẹ̀, ó sì da dùbúlẹ̀ lórí pẹpẹ náà. 10 Abrahamu sì nawọ́ mú ọ̀bẹ, láti dúńbú ọmọ rẹ̀. 11 Ṣùgbọ́n angẹli Olúwa ké sí i láti ọ̀run wá wí pé “Abrahamu! Abrahamu!”
Abrahamu sì dáhùn pé, “Èmi nìyí.”
12 Angẹli Olúwa sì wí pé, “Má ṣe fọwọ́ kan ọmọ náà, ìwọ kò sì gbọdọ̀ ṣe é ni ohun kan. Nísinsin yìí ni mo mọ̀ pé o bẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run, nítorí pé ìwọ kò fi ọmọ rẹ, àní, ọmọ rẹ kan ṣoṣo dù mí.”
13 Abrahamu sì gbójú sókè, ó sì rí àgbò kan tí ó fi ìwo há pàǹtírí, ó sì lọ mú un, ó sì fi rú ẹbọ sísun dípò ọmọ rẹ̀. 14 Abrahamu sì pe orúkọ ibẹ̀ ni, Olúwa yóò pèsè (Jehofah Jire). Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a sì ń wí títí di òní olónìí pé, “Ní orí òkè Olúwa, ni a ó ti pèsè.”
15 Angẹli Olúwa sì tún pe Abrahamu láti ọ̀run wá lẹ́ẹ̀kejì. 16 (D)Ó sì wí pé, Olúwa wí pé, “Mo fi ara mi búra, níwọ̀n bí ìwọ ti ṣe èyí, tí ìwọ kò fi ọmọ rẹ, àní, ọmọ rẹ kan ṣoṣo dù mí, 17 (E)Nítòótọ́, ní bíbùkún èmi ó bùkún fún ọ, àti ní bíbísí èmi ó sì mú ọ bí sí i bí i ìràwọ̀ ojú ọ̀run àti bí iyanrìn etí Òkun. Irú-ọmọ rẹ yóò sì gba ẹnu ibodè àwọn ọ̀tá wọn, 18 (F)àti nípasẹ̀ irú-ọmọ rẹ ni a ó ti bùkún fún gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè ayé nítorí tí ìwọ gbọ́rọ̀ sí mi lẹ́nu.”
19 Nígbà náà ni Abrahamu padà tọ àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ lọ. Gbogbo wọn sì padà lọ sí Beerṣeba. Abrahamu sì jókòó ní Beerṣeba.

20 Lẹ́yìn nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni a wí fún Abrahamu pé, “Milka aya Nahori bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin fún un.
21 Usi, àkọ́bí rẹ̀, Busi arákùnrin rẹ̀,
Kemueli (Baba Aramu).
22 Kesedi, Haso, Pildasi, Jidlafi, àti Betueli.”
23 Betueli sì ni baba Rebeka.
Milka sì bí àwọn ọmọ mẹ́jọ wọ̀nyí fún Nahori arákùnrin Abrahamu.
24 Àlè rẹ̀ tí ń jẹ́ Reuma náà bí àwọn ọmọkùnrin wọ̀nyí fun un:
Teba, Gahamu, Tahasi àti Maaka.

Dios prueba a Abraham
22 Aconteció que después de estas cosas, Dios probó a Abraham(A), y le dijo: «¡Abraham!». Y él respondió: «Aquí estoy(B)». 2 Y Dios dijo: «Toma ahora a tu hijo, tu único(C), a quien amas, a Isaac, y ve a la tierra de Moriah(D), y ofrécelo allí en holocausto(E) sobre uno de los montes que Yo te diré». 3 Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, aparejó su asno y tomó con él a dos de sus criados y a su hijo Isaac. También partió leña para el holocausto, y se levantó y fue al lugar que Dios le había dicho.
4 Al tercer día alzó Abraham los ojos y vio el lugar de lejos. 5 Entonces Abraham dijo a sus criados: «Quédense aquí con el asno. Yo y el muchacho iremos hasta allá, adoraremos y volveremos a ustedes». 6 Tomó Abraham la leña del holocausto y la puso sobre Isaac(F) su hijo, y tomó en su mano el fuego y el cuchillo. Y los dos iban juntos.
7 Isaac habló a su padre Abraham: «Padre mío». Y él respondió: «Aquí estoy, hijo mío». «Aquí están el fuego y la leña», dijo Isaac, «pero ¿dónde está el cordero para el holocausto(G)?». 8 Y Abraham respondió: «Dios proveerá[a] para Sí el cordero para el holocausto, hijo mío». Y los dos iban juntos.
9 Llegaron al lugar que Dios le había dicho(H) y Abraham edificó allí el altar(I), arregló la leña, ató a su hijo Isaac y lo puso en el altar sobre la leña(J). 10 Entonces Abraham extendió su mano y tomó el cuchillo para sacrificar a su hijo. 11 Pero el ángel del Señor lo llamó desde el cielo(K) y dijo: «¡Abraham, Abraham!». Y él respondió: «Aquí estoy». 12 Y el ángel dijo: «No extiendas tu mano contra el muchacho, ni le hagas nada. Porque ahora sé que temes[b] a Dios(L), ya que no me has rehusado[c] tu hijo, tu único(M)».
13 Entonces Abraham alzó los ojos y miró, y vio un carnero detrás de él trabado por los cuernos en un matorral. Abraham fue, tomó el carnero y lo ofreció en holocausto en lugar de su hijo. 14 Y Abraham llamó aquel lugar con el nombre de El Señor Proveerá[d], como se dice hasta hoy: «En el monte del Señor se proveerá[e](N)».
15 El ángel del Señor llamó a Abraham por segunda vez desde el cielo, 16 y le dijo: «Por Mí mismo he jurado(O)», declara el Señor, «que por cuanto has hecho esto y no me has rehusado[f] tu hijo, tu único, 17 de cierto te bendeciré grandemente, y multiplicaré en gran manera tu descendencia[g] como las estrellas del cielo(P) y como la arena en la orilla del mar(Q), y tu descendencia poseerá la puerta de sus enemigos(R). 18 En tu simiente serán bendecidas[h] todas las naciones de la tierra(S), porque tú has obedecido Mi voz(T)».
19 Entonces Abraham volvió a sus criados(U), y se levantaron y fueron juntos a Beerseba. Y habitó Abraham en Beerseba.
La familia de Rebeca
20 Después de estas cosas, le dieron noticia a Abraham, diciendo: «Milca también[i] le ha dado hijos a tu hermano Nacor(V): 21 Uz su primogénito, Buz su hermano, y Kemuel, padre de Aram, 22 Quesed, Hazo, Pildas, Jidlaf y Betuel». 23 Y Betuel fue el padre de Rebeca. Estos ocho hijos dio a luz Milca a Nacor, hermano de Abraham(W). 24 También su concubina, de nombre Reúma, dio a luz a Teba, a Gaham, a Tahas y a Maaca.
