New English Translation
23 Now swear to me right here in God’s name[a] that you will not deceive me, my children, or my descendants.[b] Show me, and the land[c] where you are staying,[d] the same loyalty[e] that I have shown you.”[f]
24 Abraham said, “I swear to do this.”[g] 25 But Abraham lodged a complaint against[h] Abimelech concerning a well[i] that Abimelech’s servants had seized.[j]
