Genesis 2:21-24

21 So the Lord God caused a (A)deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22 And the Lord God [a]fashioned into a woman (B)the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said,
“(C)At last this is bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
[b]She shall be called [c]‘woman,’
Because [d]she was taken out of [e]man.”
24 (D)For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

Matthew 19:4-6

4 And He answered and said, “Have you not read (A)that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘(B)For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and (C)the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.”
