^2 (A)And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. ³ Then God ^(B)blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

²⁷ And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the ^(A)Sabbath. ²⁸ Therefore ^(B)the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

Christ Fulfills the Law

^17 (A)“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For assuredly, I say to you, ^(B)till heaven and earth pass away, one ^[a]jot or one ^[b]tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
