¹⁷ but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not ^[a]eat, for on the day that you eat from it ^(A)you will certainly die.”

⁵ For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and ^(A)you will ^[a]become like God, knowing good and evil.”
