Dinalaw ng Anghel ang Sodoma.
19 At nagsidating ang (A)dalawang anghel sa Sodoma, nang nagtatakip silim; at si Lot ay nakaupo sa pintuang-bayan ng Sodoma: at sila'y (B)nakita ni Lot, at nagtindig upang salubungin sila; at iniyukod ang mukha sa lupa;
2 At nagsabi, Ngayon nga mga panginoon ko, ipinamamanhik ko sa inyo (C)na kayo'y magsiliko at magsipasok sa bahay ng inyong lingkod, at kayo'y matira sa buong magdamag, (D)at maghugas ng inyong mga paa, at sa madaling araw ay magsipagbangon kayo at magpatuloy ng inyong paglakad. At kanilang sinabi, (E)Hindi, kundi sa langsangan mananahan kami sa buong magdamag.
3 At kaniyang pinakapilit sila; at sila'y nagsiliko, at nagsipasok sa kaniyang bahay; at sila'y kaniyang pinaghandaan, at ipinagluto ng mga tinapay na walang levadura, at nagsikain.
4 Datapuwa't bago nagsihiga, ang bahay ay kinulong ng mga tao sa bayan sa makatuwid baga'y ng mga tao sa Sodoma, na mga binata at gayon din ng mga matanda ng buong bayan sa buong palibot;
5 (F)At kanilang tinawagan si Lot, at sinabi sa kaniya, Saan nangaroon ang mga lalaking dumating sa iyo ng gabing ito? (G)ilabas mo sila sa amin (H)upang kilalanin namin sila.
6 At nilabas sila ni Lot sa pintuan, at isinara ang pinto sa likuran niya.
7 At sinabi niya, Ipinamamanhik ko sa inyo, mga kapatid ko, na huwag kayong gumawa ng ganiyang kasamaan.
8 (I)Narito, ngayon, may dalawa akong anak na babae, na hindi nakakilala ng lalake; ipinamamanhik ko sa inyo, na sila'y aking ilalabas sa inyo, at gawin ninyo sa kanila ang magalingin ninyo sa inyong paningin: huwag lamang ninyong gawan ng anoman ang mga lalaking ito; (J)yamang sila'y nangasa silong ng aking bubungan.
9 At sinabi nila, Umurong ka! At sinabi pa nila, Ang taong ito'y (K)naparito upang makipamayan, (L)at ibig niyang maging hukom: ngayon nga'y gagawan ka namin ng lalong masama kay sa kanila. At kanilang ipinagtulakan ang lalaking si Lot, at nagsilapit upang sirain ang pintuan.
10 Datapuwa't iniunat ng mga lalake ang kanilang kamay at binatak si Lot sa loob ng bahay at kanilang sinarhan ang pintuan.
11 At ang mga taong nangasa pintuan ng bahay ay mga pinagbulag nila, (M)ang munti't malaki: ano pa't sila'y nangayamot sa paghahanap ng pintuan.
Iniligtas si Lot.
12 At sinabi ng mga lalake kay Lot, Mayroon ka pa ritong kamaganakan? Ang iyong mga manugang, at ang iyong mga anak na lalake at babae, at ang lahat ng iyong tinatangkilik sa bayan: ay (N)ipagaalis mo sa dakong ito:
13 Sapagka't aming lilipulin ang dakong ito dahil sa napakalakas ang kanilang (O)sigaw sa harap ng Panginoon; at kami ay sinugo ng Panginoon upang aming lipulin.
14 At si Lot ay lumabas, at pinagsabihan niya ang kaniyang mga manugang na nagasawa sa kaniyang mga anak na babae, at sinabi, (P)Magtindig kayo, magsialis kayo sa dakong ito; sapagka't gugunawin ng Panginoon ang bayan. Datapuwa't ang akala ng kaniyang mga manugang ay nagbibiro siya.
15 At nang umumaga ay pinapagmadali ng mga anghel si Lot, na sinasabi, (Q)Magbangon ka, ipagsama mo ang iyong asawa at ang iyong dalawang anak na babae na narito, baka pati ikaw ay madamay sa parusa sa bayan.
16 Datapuwa't siya'y nagluluwat; at hinawakan ng mga lalake ang kaniyang kamay, at ang kamay ng kaniyang asawa, at ang kamay ng kaniyang dalawang anak na babae; (R)sa habag sa kaniya ng Panginoon: at siya'y kanilang inilabas, at siya'y kanilang inilagay sa labas ng bayan.
17 At nangyari, na nang sila'y mailabas na nila, ay sinabi, Itakas mo ang iyong buhay; huwag kang (S)lumingon o huminto man sa buong kapatagan; tumakas ka hanggang sa bundok, baka ikaw ay mamatay.
18 At sinabi sa kanila ni Lot, Huwag ganiyan, panginoon ko:
19 Narito, ngayo't ang lingkod mo ay nakasumpong ng biyaya sa iyong paningin, at pinakalaki mo ang iyong awang ipinakita sa akin sa pagliligtas ng aking buhay; at ako'y di makatatakas sa bundok, baka ako'y abutan ng sama, at ako'y mamatay.
20 Narito, ang bayang ito ay malapit takasan at maliit: Oh tulutan mong tumakas ako roon, (di ba yao'y maliit?) at mabubuhay ako.
21 At sinabi sa kaniya, Narito, sa bagay mang ito ay (T)pinayagan din kita, na hindi ko gugunawin ang bayang iyong sinalita.
22 Magmadali ka, tumakas ka roon; sapagka't wala akong magagawa hanggang sa dumating ka roon. (U)Kaya't ang pangalang itinawag sa bayang yaon ay Zoar.
Ang mga Ciudad sa kapatagan ay giniba.
23 Ang araw ay nakalitaw na sa lupa nang dumating si Lot sa Zoar.
24 (V)Nang magkagayo'y nagpaulan ang Panginoon sa Sodoma at Gomorra ng azufre at apoy mula sa Panginoon na buhat sa langit;
25 At ginunaw niya ang mga bayang yaon, at ang buong Kapatagan at ang lahat ng nangananahan sa mga bayang yaon, at ang tumutubo sa lupang yaon.
26 Datapuwa't ang asawa ni Lot ay lumingon sa likuran ni Lot, (W)at naging haliging asin.
27 At si Abraham ay sumampang maaga ng kinaumagahan (X)sa dakong kinatayuan niya sa harap ng Panginoon.
28 At siya'y tumingin sa dakong Sodoma at Gomorra, at sa buong lupain ng Kapatagan, at tumanaw, at narito, ang (Y)usok ng lupain ay napaiilanglang na parang usok ng isang hurno.
29 At nangyari, na nang gunawin ng Dios ang mga bayan ng Kapatagan, na (Z)naalaala ng Dios si Abraham, at pinalabas si Lot, mula sa gitna ng pinaggunawan, nang gunawin ang mga bayan na kinatitirahan ni Lot.
Ipinanganak si Moab at Ben-ammi.
30 At sumampa si Lot mula sa Zoar (AA)at tumira sa bundok, at ang kaniyang dalawang anak na babae na kasama niya; sapagka't siya'y natakot na tumira sa Zoar: at siya'y tumira sa isang yungib, siya at ang kaniyang dalawang anak na babae.
31 At sinabi ng panganay sa bunso: Ang ating ama ay matanda, at walang lalake sa lupa na sumiping sa atin, ayon sa ugali ng sangkalupaan:
32 Halika, painumin natin ng alak ang ating ama, at tayo'y sumiping sa kaniya; upang mapalagi natin ang binhi ng ating ama.
33 At pinainom nila ng alak ang kanilang ama ng gabing yaon: at pumasok ang panganay at sumiping sa kaniyang ama; at hindi naalaman, ng ama nang siya'y mahiga ni nang siya'y magbangon.
34 At nangyari nang kinabukasan, na sinabi ng panganay sa bunso. Narito, ako'y sumiping kagabi sa aking ama; painumin din natin ng alak sa gabing ito; at pumasok ka, at sumiping ka sa kaniya; upang mapalagi natin ang binhi ng ating ama.
35 At pinainom din nila ng alak ang kanilang ama ng gabing yaon: at nagtindig ang bunso, at sumiping sa ama; at hindi naalaman ng ama nang siya'y mahiga, ni nang siya'y magbangon.
36 Sa ganito'y kapuwa nagdalangtao ang mga anak ni Lot sa pamamagitan ng kanilang ama.
37 At nanganak ang panganay ng isang lalake, at tinawag ang kaniyang ngalang Moab: (AB)na siya ngang ama ng mga Moabita, hanggang sa araw na ito.
38 At ang bunso ay nanganak din ng isang lalake, at tinawag ang kaniyang pangalang Benammi: (AC)na siya ngang ama ng mga anak ni Ammon, hanggang ngayon.

19 Los dos ángeles llegaron a Sodoma(A) al caer la tarde, cuando Lot estaba sentado a la puerta de Sodoma. Al verlos, Lot se levantó para recibirlos y se postró rostro en tierra(B), 2 y les dijo: «Señores míos, les ruego que entren en[a] la casa de su siervo y pasen en ella la noche y laven sus pies. Entonces se levantarán temprano y continuarán su camino». «No», dijeron ellos, «sino que pasaremos la noche en la plaza». 3 Él, sin embargo, les rogó con insistencia, y ellos fueron con[b] él y entraron en su casa. Lot les preparó un banquete y coció pan sin levadura, y comieron(C).
4 Aún no se habían acostado, cuando los hombres de la ciudad, los hombres de Sodoma(D), rodearon la casa, tanto jóvenes como viejos, todo el pueblo sin excepción[c]. 5 Y llamaron a Lot, y le dijeron: «¿Dónde están los hombres que vinieron a ti esta noche? Sácalos[d] para que los conozcamos[e](E)».
6 Entonces Lot salió a ellos a la entrada, y cerró la puerta tras sí, 7 «Hermanos míos, les ruego que no obren perversamente», les dijo Lot. 8 «Miren, tengo dos hijas que no han conocido varón. Permítanme sacarlas a ustedes y hagan con ellas como mejor les parezca[f]. Pero no hagan nada a estos hombres(F), pues se han amparado bajo[g] mi techo».
9 «¡Hazte a un lado!», dijeron ellos. Y dijeron además: «Este ha venido como extranjero[h], y ya está actuando como juez(G); ahora te trataremos a ti peor que a ellos». Se lanzaron contra Lot[i] y estaban a punto de romper la puerta, 10 pero los dos hombres[j](H) extendieron la mano y metieron a Lot en la casa con[k] ellos, y cerraron la puerta.
11 Y a los hombres que estaban a la entrada de la casa los hirieron con ceguera(I) desde el menor hasta el mayor, de manera que se cansaban tratando de hallar la entrada.
Lot huye de Sodoma
12 Entonces los dos hombres dijeron a Lot: «¿A quién más tienes aquí? A tus yernos, a tus hijos, a tus hijas y quienquiera que tengas en la ciudad, sácalos de este lugar. 13 Porque vamos a destruir este lugar, pues su clamor ha llegado a ser tan grande delante del Señor(J), que el Señor nos ha enviado a destruirlo(K)».
14 Lot salió y habló a sus yernos que iban a casarse con[l] sus hijas, y dijo: «Levántense, salgan de este lugar porque el Señor destruirá la ciudad(L)». Pero a sus yernos les pareció que[m] bromeaba(M).
15 Al amanecer, los ángeles apremiaban a Lot, diciendo: «Levántate, toma a tu mujer y a tus dos hijas que están aquí, para que no sean destruidos en el castigo[n] de la ciudad». 16 Pero él titubeaba. Entonces los dos hombres los tomaron de la mano(N), a él, y a su mujer y a sus dos hijas, porque[o] la compasión del Señor estaba sobre él(O). Los sacaron y los pusieron fuera de la ciudad.
17 Cuando los habían llevado fuera, uno le dijo: «Huye por tu vida(P). No mires detrás de ti(Q) y no te detengas en ninguna parte del valle[p](R). Escapa al monte(S), no sea que perezcas[q]». 18 «No, por favor, señores míos», les dijo Lot. 19 «Ahora tu siervo ha hallado gracia ante tus ojos, y has engrandecido tu misericordia la cual me has mostrado salvándome la vida. Pero no puedo escapar al monte, no sea que el desastre me alcance, y muera. 20 Mira, esta ciudad está bastante cerca para huir a ella, y es pequeña. Te ruego que me dejes huir allá (¿acaso no es pequeña?) para salvar mi vida[r]». 21 Y él le respondió: «Bien, te concedo también esta petición[s] de no destruir la ciudad de que has hablado. 22 Date prisa, escapa allá, porque nada puedo hacer hasta que llegues allí». Por eso el nombre que se le puso a la ciudad fue Zoar[t](T).
Destrucción de Sodoma y Gomorra
23 El sol había salido sobre la tierra cuando Lot llegó a Zoar. 24 Entonces el Señor hizo llover azufre y fuego sobre Sodoma y Gomorra, de parte del Señor desde los cielos(U). 25 Él destruyó aquellas ciudades(V) y todo el valle[u] y todos los habitantes de las ciudades y todo lo que crecía en la tierra. 26 Pero la mujer de Lot[v], que iba tras él, miró hacia atrás(W) y se convirtió en una columna de sal.
27 Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y fue al sitio donde había estado delante del Señor(X). 28 Dirigió la vista hacia Sodoma y Gomorra y hacia toda la tierra del valle y miró; y el humo ascendía de la tierra como el humo de un horno(Y). 29 Pero cuando Dios destruyó las ciudades del valle, se acordó de Abraham(Z) e hizo salir[w] a Lot de en medio de la destrucción(AA), cuando destruyó las ciudades donde había habitado Lot.
Moab y Amón
30 Lot subió de Zoar y habitó en los montes[x](AB), y sus dos hijas con él, pues tenía miedo de quedarse[y] en Zoar. Y habitó en una cueva, él y sus dos hijas. 31 Entonces la mayor dijo a la menor: «Nuestro padre es viejo y no hay ningún hombre en el país que se llegue a nosotras(AC) según la costumbre de toda la tierra. 32 Ven, hagamos que beba vino nuestro padre(AD), y acostémonos con él para preservar nuestra familia por medio[z] de nuestro padre». 33 Aquella noche hicieron que su padre bebiera vino, y la mayor entró y se acostó con su padre, y él no supo cuando ella se acostó ni cuando se levantó.
34 Al día siguiente la mayor dijo a la menor: «Mira, anoche yo me acosté con mi padre. Hagamos que beba vino esta noche también, y entonces entra tú y acuéstate con él, para preservar nuestra familia por medio[aa] de nuestro padre». 35 De manera que también aquella noche hicieron que su padre bebiera vino, y la menor se levantó y se acostó con él, y él no supo cuando ella se acostó ni cuando se levantó. 36 Así las dos hijas de Lot concibieron de su padre.
37 Y la mayor dio a luz un hijo, y lo llamó Moab(AE). Él es el padre de los moabitas hasta hoy. 38 En cuanto a la menor, también ella dio a luz un hijo, y lo llamó Ben-Ammi. Él es el padre de los amonitas[ab](AF) hasta hoy.

19 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
37 And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
