24 Then (A)the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the Lord out of heaven. 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. 26 But Lot's wife, behind him, looked back, and she became (B)a pillar of salt.

24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur(A) on Sodom and Gomorrah(B)—from the Lord out of the heavens.(C) 25 Thus he overthrew those cities(D) and the entire plain,(E) destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.(F) 26 But Lot’s wife looked back,(G) and she became a pillar of salt.(H)
