¹⁷ Then Abraham ^(A)fell on his face ^(B)and laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders ^(A)who sit on their thrones before God ^(B)fell on their faces and worshiped God,

^56 (A)Your father Abraham ^(B)rejoiced ^(C)that he would see my day. ^(D)He saw it and was glad.”

⁶ And Sarah said, ^(A)“God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.”

^12 (A)So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, ^(B)“After I am worn out, and ^(C)my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?”

³ Then Abram ^(A)fell on his face. And God said to him,

¹⁹ He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was ^(A)as good as dead (^(B)since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered ^(C)the barrenness^[a] of Sarah's womb. ²⁰ No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God,

²⁸ Like the appearance of ^(A)the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.

Such was the appearance of the likeness of ^(B)the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, ^(C)I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^(A)fell down before the Lamb, ^(B)each holding a harp, and ^(C)golden bowls full of incense, ^(D)which are the prayers of the saints.

²⁰ Then Job arose and ^(A)tore his ^(B)robe and ^(C)shaved his head ^(D)and fell on the ground and worshiped.
