^10 (A)This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your ^[a]descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised. ¹¹ And ^(B)you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you. ¹² And every male among you who is ^(C)eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, including a slave who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your ^[b]descendants. ¹³ A slave who is born in your house or ^(D)who is bought with your money shall certainly be circumcised; so My covenant shall be in your flesh as an everlasting covenant. ¹⁴ But as for an uncircumcised male, one who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be ^(E)cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”

³ Then on ^(A)the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

²² For this reason ^(A)Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from ^(B)the fathers), and even on a Sabbath you circumcise a man.

⁸ And He ^(A)gave him ^[a]the covenant of circumcision; and so ^(B)Abraham fathered Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and ^(C)Isaac fathered Jacob, and ^(D)Jacob, the twelve ^(E)patriarchs.

¹¹ and he ^(A)received the sign of circumcision, ^(B)a seal of the righteousness of the faith which ^[a]he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be ^(C)the father of ^(D)all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,
