The angel of the Lord(A) found her by a spring in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur. 8 He said, “Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?”
She replied, “I’m running away from my mistress Sarai.”
The angel of the Lord said to her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her authority.” 10 The angel of the Lord said to her, “I will greatly multiply your offspring,(B) and they will be too many to count.”
The angel of the Lord said to her, “You have conceived and will have a son. You will name him Ishmael,[a] for the Lord has heard your cry of affliction. 12 This man will be like a wild donkey. His hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him; he will settle near all his relatives.”(C)
So she named the Lord who spoke to her: “You are El-roi,”[b] for she said, “In this place, have I actually seen(D) the one who sees me?” [c] 14 That is why the well is called Beer-lahai-roi.[d] It is between Kadesh and Bered.

Then Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said about him, “Here truly is an Israelite(A) in whom there is no deceit.”
“How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.
“Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you,” Jesus answered.
“Rabbi,”(B) Nathanael replied, “You are the Son(C) of God; you are the King of Israel!” (D)
Jesus responded to him, “Do you believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” 51 Then he said, “Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God(E) ascending and descending(F) on the Son of Man.”(G)
