^6 (A)Then he believed in the Lord; and He ^[a]credited it to him as righteousness.

² For if Abraham was justified ^[a]by works, he has something to boast about; but ^(A)not ^[b]before God. ³ For what does the Scripture say? “^(B)Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” ⁴ Now to the one who ^(C)works, the wages are not credited as a favor, but as what is due.

²² Therefore ^(A)it was also credited to him as righteousness.

⁶ Just as ^(A)Abraham ^(B)believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

²² You see that ^(A)faith was working with his works, and ^[a]as a result of the ^(B)works, faith was ^[b]perfected; ²³ and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “^(C)And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a ^(D)friend of God.
