Yahweh Cuts a Covenant with Abram

15 After these things ^(A)the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying,

³ And He said, “^(A)I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will ^(B)make you a great nation there.

²⁰ And Moses said to the people, “^(A)Do not be afraid; for God has come in order ^(B)to test you, and in order that ^(C)the fear of Him may ^[a]be with you, so that you may not sin.”

¹⁵ and he said, “Pay attention, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says Yahweh to you, ‘^(A)Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for ^(B)the battle is not yours but God’s.

¹⁷ You need not fight in this battle; take your stand—^(A)stand and see the salvation of Yahweh on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, ^(B)for Yahweh is with you.”
