GOD’S WORD Translation

²Abram was very rich because he had livestock, silver, and gold. ³He traveled from place to place. He went from the Negev as far as Bethel, to the area between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been originally, ⁴where he had first made an altar. There Abram worshiped the Lord.

New International Version

²Abram had become very wealthy^(A) in livestock^(B) and in silver and gold.

³From the Negev^(C) he went from place to place until he came to Bethel,^(D) to the place between Bethel and Ai^(E) where his tent had been earlier ⁴and where he had first built an altar.^(F) There Abram called on the name of the Lord.^(G)
