¹³ Now the people of Sodom^(A) were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.^(B)

²⁰ Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom^(A) and Gomorrah is so great^(B) and their sin so grievous^(C)

⁴⁶ Your older sister^(A) was Samaria, who lived to the north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lived to the south of you with her daughters, was Sodom.^(B)

⁴⁸ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign^(A) Lord, your sister Sodom^(B) and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done.^(C)

⁴⁹ “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:^(D) She and her daughters were arrogant,^(E) overfed and unconcerned;^(F) they did not help the poor and needy.^(G)
