5 Avram took his wife Sarai, his brother’s son Lot, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, as well as the people they had acquired in Haran; then they set out for the land of Kena‘an and entered the land of Kena‘an.
6 Avram passed through the land to the place called Sh’khem, to the oak of Moreh. The Kena‘ani were then in the land. 7 Adonai appeared to Avram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to Adonai, who had appeared to him.

New International Version
5 He took his wife Sarai,(A) his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated(B) and the people(C) they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan,(D) and they arrived there.
6 Abram traveled through the land(E) as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh(F) at Shechem.(G) At that time the Canaanites(H) were in the land. 7 The Lord appeared to Abram(I) and said, “To your offspring[a] I will give this land.(J)”(K) So he built an altar there to the Lord,(L) who had appeared to him.

5 Und Abram nahm seine Frau Sarai und Lot, den Sohn seines Bruders, samt all ihrer Habe, die sie erworben hatten, und den Seelen, die sie in Haran gewonnen hatten; und sie zogen aus, um ins Land Kanaan zu gehen; und sie kamen in das Land Kanaan.
6 Und Abram durchzog das Land bis zur Ortschaft Sichem, bis zur Terebinthe Mores[a]. Damals aber waren die Kanaaniter im Land.
7 Da erschien der Herr dem Abram und sprach: Deinem Samen will ich dieses Land geben! Und er baute dort dem Herrn, der ihm erschienen war, einen Altar.
