Genesis 1:7-12
New American Standard Bible
7 God made the [a]expanse, and separated (A)the waters that were below the [b]expanse from the waters (B)that were above the [c]expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the [d]expanse “heaven.” And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 Then God said, “(C)Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let (D)the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land “earth,” and the (E)gathering of the waters He called “seas”; and God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, “Let the earth sprout [e](F)vegetation, [f]plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit according to [g]their kind [h]with seed in them”; and it was so. 12 The earth produced [i]vegetation, [j]plants yielding seed according to [k]their kind, and trees bearing fruit [l]with seed in them, according to [m]their kind; and God saw that it was good.
