²⁶ Then God said, ^(A)“Let us make man^[a] in our image, ^(B)after our likeness. And ^(C)let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

¹⁰ and ^(A)have put on ^(B)the new self, ^(C)which is being renewed in knowledge ^(D)after the image of ^(E)its creator.

²⁴ and to put on ^(A)the new self, ^(B)created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

²² Then the Lord God said, ^(A)“Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand ^(B)and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—”

Adam's Descendants to Noah

5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, ^(A)he made him in the likeness of God.

¹⁸ And we all, with unveiled face, ^(A)beholding ^(B)the glory of the Lord,^{[a] (C)}are being transformed into the same image ^(D)from one degree of glory to another.^[b] For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

^2 (A)The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered. ^3 (B)Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And ^(C)as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. ⁴ But you shall not eat flesh with its ^(D)life, that is, its blood.
