Genesis 1:2-7
New International Version
2 Now the earth was formless(A) and empty,(B) darkness was over the surface of the deep,(C) and the Spirit of God(D) was hovering(E) over the waters.
3 And God said,(F) “Let there be light,” and there was light.(G) 4 God saw that the light was good,(H) and he separated the light from the darkness.(I) 5 God called(J) the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”(K) And there was evening, and there was morning(L)—the first day.
6 And God said,(M) “Let there be a vault(N) between the waters(O) to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.(P) And it was so.(Q)
