Genesis 7:15-17

15 Pairs of all creatures in which there was the breath of life came to Noah into the ark. 16 Those that entered were male and female; of all creatures they came, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.
17 The flood continued upon the earth for forty days. As the waters increased, they lifted the ark, so that it rose above the earth.

New International Version
15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.(A) 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah.(B) Then the Lord shut him in.
17 For forty days(C) the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
