^6 (A)And Yahweh regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was ^(B)grieved ^[a]in His heart. ⁷ And Yahweh said, “^(C)I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the ^[b]sky; for ^(D)I regret that I have made them.”

^14 (A)So Yahweh relented concerning the harm which He said He would do to His people.

^35 (A)So Samuel did not see Saul again until the day of his death; for Samuel ^(B)grieved over Saul. And Yahweh regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel.

^16 (A)Then the angel sent forth his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, and ^(B)Yahweh ^[a]relented of the calamity and said to the angel who destroyed the people, “It is enough! Now relax your hand!” And the angel of Yahweh was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
