21 So therefore, do not be afraid; (A)I will provide for you and your little ones.” So he comforted them and spoke [a]kindly to them.

Death of Joseph

22 Now Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his father’s household, and Joseph lived 110 years. 23 Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons; also the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were (B)born on Joseph’s knees. 24 Joseph said to his brothers, “(C)I am about to die, but God will assuredly [b]take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He [c]promised on oath to (D)Abraham, to (E)Isaac, and to (F)Jacob.” 25 Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will assuredly [d]take care of you, and (G)you shall carry my bones up from here.” 26 So Joseph died at the age of 110 years; and they (H)embalmed him and placed him in a coffin in Egypt.

22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years(C) 23 and saw the third generation(D) of Ephraim’s(E) children.(F) Also the children of Makir(G) son of Manasseh(H) were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.[a](I)

24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die.(J) But God will surely come to your aid(K) and take you up out of this land to the land(L) he promised on oath to Abraham,(M) Isaac(N) and Jacob.”(O) 25 And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath(P) and said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones(Q) up from this place.”(R)

26 So Joseph died(S) at the age of a hundred and ten.(T) And after they embalmed him,(U) he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
