Genesis 50:19-21

New International Version

¹⁹But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?^(A) ²⁰You intended to harm me,^(B) but God intended^(C) it for good^(D) to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.^(E) ²¹So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.^(F)” And he reassured them and spoke kindly^(G) to them.

¹⁹But Joseph said to them, “Don't be afraid; I can't put myself in the place of God. ²⁰You plotted evil against me, but God turned it into good, in order to preserve the lives of many people who are alive today because of what happened. ²¹You have nothing to fear. I will take care of you and your children.” So he reassured them with kind words that touched their hearts.

[Vengeance is His, not mine.] ²⁰As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present outcome, that many people would be kept alive [as they are this day]. ²¹So now, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and support you and your little ones.” So he comforted them [giving them encouragement and hope] and spoke [with kindness] to their hearts.
