Genesis 49:18-20

¹⁸I have waited for thy saving health, O LORD.

¹⁹Gad, an army shall invade him, but he shall invade at the last.

²⁰Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield delight unto the king.

Genesis 49:18-20

New International Version

¹⁸“I look for your deliverance,^(A) Lord.^(B)

¹⁹“Gad^[a]^(C) will be attacked by a band of raiders,
but he will attack them at their heels.^(D)

²⁰“Asher’s^(E) food will be rich;^(F)
he will provide delicacies fit for a king.^(G)

Genesis 49:19 Gad sounds like the Hebrew for attack and also for band of raiders.
