¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah,^(A)
    nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,^[a]
until he to whom it belongs^[b] shall come^(B)
    and the obedience of the nations shall be his.^(C)

³³ Let the trees^(A) of the forest sing,
    let them sing for joy before the Lord,
    for he comes to judge^(B) the earth.

³⁴ Give thanks^(C) to the Lord, for he is good;^(D)
    his love endures forever.^(E)

⁷ Of the greatness of his government^(A) and peace^(B)
    there will be no end.^(C)
He will reign^(D) on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice^(E) and righteousness^(F)
    from that time on and forever.^(G)
The zeal^(H) of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this.

²¹ In that day^(A) the Lord will punish^(B)
    the powers^(C) in the heavens above
    and the kings^(D) on the earth below.
²² They will be herded together
    like prisoners^(E) bound in a dungeon;^(F)
they will be shut up in prison
    and be punished^[a] after many days.^(G)
23 The moon will be dismayed,
    the sun^(H) ashamed;
for the Lord Almighty will reign^(I)
    on Mount Zion^(J) and in Jerusalem,
    and before its elders—with great glory.^(K)
