25 These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.

26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

25 These were the sons born to Jacob by Bilhah,(A) whom Laban had given to his daughter Rachel(B)—seven in all.

26 All those who went to Egypt with Jacob—those who were his direct descendants, not counting his sons’ wives—numbered sixty-six persons.(C) 27 With the two sons[a] who had been born to Joseph in Egypt,(D) the members of Jacob’s family, which went to Egypt, were seventy[b] in all.(E)

28 Now Jacob sent Judah(F) ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen.(G) When they arrived in the region of Goshen, 29 Joseph had his chariot(H) made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel.(I) As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father[c] and wept(J) for a long time.(K)

30 Israel(L) said to Joseph, “Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive.”(M)

31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and speak to Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were living in the land of Canaan,(N) have come to me.(O)
