52 The name of the second he called Ephraim, “For God has (A)made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”[a]
53 The seven years of plenty that occurred in the land of Egypt came to an end, 54 and (B)the seven years of famine began to come, (C)as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

52 The second son he named Ephraim[a](A) and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful(B) in the land of my suffering.”
53 The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end, 54 and the seven years of famine(C) began,(D) just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all the other lands, but in the whole land of Egypt there was food.
