50 Now unto Joseph were born (A)two sons (before the year of famine came) which Asenath the daughter of Poti-Pherah prince of On bare unto him.

51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: for God, said he, hath made me forget all my labor and all my [a]father’s household.

52 Also he called the name of the second, Ephraim: For God, said he, hath made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.
