40 (A)You shall be [a]over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have (B)set you over all the land of Egypt.”
42 Then Pharaoh (C)took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he (D)clothed him in garments of fine linen (E)and put a gold chain around his neck. 43 And he had him ride in the second (F)chariot which he had; (G)and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him (H)over all the land of Egypt. 44 Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.”

Joseph in Charge of Egypt
41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”(D) 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring(E) from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes(F) of fine linen(G) and put a gold chain around his neck.(H) 43 He had him ride in a chariot(I) as his second-in-command,[a](J) and people shouted before him, “Make way[b]!”(K) Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.(L)
44 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.”(M)
