39 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made you know all of this, there is no one so (A)understanding and wise as you are. 40 (B)You shall be over my house, and according to your [a]command all my people shall [b]do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you (C)over all the land of Egypt.” 42 Then Pharaoh (D)removed his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand and clothed him in garments of fine linen and (E)put the gold necklace around his neck. 43 And he had him ride in [c]his second chariot; and they called out before him, “[d]Bow the knee!” And he set him over all the land of Egypt.

41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”(F) 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring(G) from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes(H) of fine linen(I) and put a gold chain around his neck.(J) 43 He had him ride in a chariot(K) as his second-in-command,[a](L) and people shouted before him, “Make way[b]!”(M) Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.(N)
