⁶ So he left ^[a]Joseph in charge of everything that he owned; and with him there he did not ^[b]concern himself with anything except the ^[c]food which he ^[d]ate.

Now Joseph was ^(A)handsome in form and appearance. ⁷ And it came about after these events ^(B)that his master’s wife ^[e]had her eyes on Joseph, and she said, “^(C)Sleep with me.” ⁸ But ^(D)he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, with me here, my master ^[f]does not concern himself with anything in the house, and he has ^[g]put me in charge of all that he owns.
