² These are the generations of Jacob.

Joseph, when ^(A)seventeen years of age, was pasturing the flock with his brothers while he was still a youth, along with ^(B)the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives. And Joseph brought back an ^(C)evil report about them to their father.

⁴⁶ Now Joseph was ^(A)thirty years old when he ^[a]stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and passed through all the land of Egypt.

⁵³ Then the seven years of plenty which had been in the land of Egypt came to an end,
