6 Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, his livestock, all his beasts, and all his property that he had acquired in the land of Canaan. He went into a land away from his brother Jacob. 7 (A)For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together. (B)The land of their sojournings could not support them because of their livestock. 8 So Esau settled in (C)the hill country of Seir. ((D)Esau is Edom.)

6 Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan,(A) and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob.(B) 7 Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.(C) 8 So Esau(D) (that is, Edom)(E) settled in the hill country of Seir.(F)
