23 Will not their livestock, their property, and all their animals be ours? Only let us agree with them, and they will live among us.” 24 And all who went out of the city gate heeded Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.(A)

25 On the third day, when they were still in pain, two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, took their swords and came against the city unawares and killed all the males.(B)

New International Version
23 Won’t their livestock, their property and all their other animals become ours?(A) So let us agree to their terms, and they will settle among us.(B)”
24 All the men who went out of the city gate(C) agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male in the city was circumcised.
25 Three days later, while all of them were still in pain,(D) two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon(E) and Levi,(F) Dinah’s brothers, took their swords(G) and attacked the unsuspecting city,(H) killing every male.(I)
