2 And when Shechem the son of (A)Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he seized her and lay with her and humiliated her. 3 And his soul was drawn to Dinah the daughter of Jacob. He loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her. 4 So Shechem (B)spoke to his father Hamor, saying, “Get me this girl for my wife.”
5 Now Jacob heard that he had defiled his daughter Dinah. But his sons were with his livestock in the field, so Jacob held his peace until they came. 6 And Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to speak with him.

2 When Shechem(A) son of Hamor(B) the Hivite,(C) the ruler of that area, saw her, he took her and raped her.(D) 3 His heart was drawn to Dinah(E) daughter of Jacob;(F) he loved(G) the young woman and spoke tenderly(H) to her. 4 And Shechem said to his father Hamor, “Get me this girl as my wife.”(I)
5 When Jacob heard that his daughter Dinah had been defiled,(J) his sons were in the fields with his livestock; so he did nothing about it until they came home.
6 Then Shechem’s father Hamor went out to talk with Jacob.(K)
