Genesis 32:7-9

7 When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We found your brother Esau. He is now coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.”
8 Jacob was very much frightened. In his anxiety, he divided the people who were with him, as well as his flocks, herds and camels, into two camps. 9 “If Esau should come and attack one camp,” he reasoned, “the remaining camp may still escape.”

New International Version
7 In great fear(A) and distress(B) Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups,[a](C) and the flocks and herds and camels as well. 8 He thought, “If Esau comes and attacks one group,[b] the group[c] that is left may escape.”
9 Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham,(D) God of my father Isaac,(E) Lord, you who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,’(F)
