⁶ Then Rachel said, “God has vindicated me;^(A) he has listened to my plea and given me a son.”^(B) Because of this she named him Dan.^[a](C)

²² About Dan^(A) he said:

²⁶ So the Danites went their way, and Micah, seeing that they were too strong for him,^(A) turned around and went back home.

²⁷ Then they took what Micah had made, and his priest, and went on to Laish, against a people at peace and secure.^(A) They attacked them with the sword and burned^(B) down their city.^(C)
