And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a pleasure for the eyes, and the tree was to be desired to give intelligence; and she took of its fruit, and ate, and gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

And they heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim, walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim, in the midst of the trees of the garden.

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable(A) for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband,(B) who was with her, and he ate it.(C) Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;(D) so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.(E)

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking(F) in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid(G) from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
