^12 (A)And the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave to me from the tree, and I ate.” ¹³ Then Yahweh God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “^(B)The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

²² And Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, ^(A)that they are ^[a]prone to evil. ²³ Indeed ^(B)they said to me, ‘Make ^[b]gods for us who will go before us; for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’

⁹ But Saul and the people ^(A)spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and they were not willing to devote them to destruction; but everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.

²¹ But ^(A)the people took some of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to Yahweh your God at Gilgal.”
