⁹ So the servant ^(A)placed his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master and swore to him concerning this matter.

²⁹ Then ^(A)the days for Israel to die drew near, and he called his son Joseph and said to him, “Please, if I have found favor in your sight, ^(B)place now your hand under my thigh and ^(C)deal with me in lovingkindness and truth. Please do not bury me in Egypt.
