2 One day Abraham said to his oldest servant, the man in charge of his household, “Take an oath by putting your hand under my thigh. 3 Swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not allow my son to marry one of these local Canaanite women. 4 Go instead to my homeland, to my relatives, and find a wife there for my son Isaac.”

2 He said to the senior servant(A) in his household, the one in charge of all that he had,(B) “Put your hand under my thigh.(C) 3 I want you to swear(D) by the Lord, the God of heaven(E) and the God of earth,(F) that you will not get a wife for my son(G) from the daughters of the Canaanites,(H) among whom I am living,(I) 4 but will go to my country and my own relatives(J) and get a wife for my son Isaac.(K)”
