13 Here I am, standing by the spring of water. The girls from the city are coming out to get water. 14 I will say to one of the girls, ‘Please put your jar down so I can drink.’ Then let her say, ‘Drink, and I will also give water to your camels.’ If that happens, I will know she is the right one for your servant Isaac. And I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
15 Before the servant had finished praying, Rebekah came out of the city. She was the daughter of Bethuel. (Bethuel was the son of Milcah and Nahor, Abraham’s brother.) Rebekah was carrying her water jar on her shoulder.

13 See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water.(A) 14 May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink,(B) and I’ll water your camels too’(C)—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac.(D) By this I will know(E) that you have shown kindness to my master.”
15 Before he had finished praying,(F) Rebekah(G) came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel(H) son of Milkah,(I) who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor.(J)
