³ Then Abraham rose from before his dead, and spoke to the ^(A)sons of Heth, saying,

³⁴ When Esau was forty years old ^(A)he ^[a]married Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite;

¹⁰ Joshua said, “By this you shall know that ^(A)the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly ^(B)dispossess from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.

²⁹ A chariot ^[a]was imported from Egypt for 600 shekels of silver, and a horse for 150; and ^[b]by the same means they exported them ^(A)to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of the Arameans.

⁶ For ^(A)the Lord had caused the army of the Arameans to hear a sound of chariots and a sound of horses, even the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us ^(B)the kings of the Hittites and ^(C)the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.”
