Genesis 22:20-24
New English Translation
20 After these things Abraham was told, “Milcah[a] also has borne children to your brother Nahor— 21 Uz the firstborn, his brother Buz, Kemuel (the father of Aram),[b] 22 Kesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.” 23 (Now[c] Bethuel became the father of Rebekah.) These were the eight sons Milcah bore to Abraham’s brother Nahor. 24 His concubine, whose name was Reumah, also bore him children—Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.

- Genesis 22:21 sn This parenthetical note about Kemuel’s descendant is probably a later insertion by the author/compiler of Genesis and not part of the original announcement.
- Genesis 22:23 tn The disjunctive clause gives information that is important but parenthetical to the narrative. Rebekah would become the wife of Isaac (Gen 24:15).

20 Some time later Abraham was told, “Milkah is also a mother; she has borne sons to your brother Nahor:(A) 21 Uz(B) the firstborn, Buz(C) his brother, Kemuel (the father of Aram), 22 Kesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph and Bethuel.(D)” 23 Bethuel became the father of Rebekah.(E) Milkah bore these eight sons to Abraham’s brother Nahor.(F) 24 His concubine,(G) whose name was Reumah, also had sons: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash and Maakah.
