¹⁸ The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”^(A)

²² Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib^[a](A) he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

²⁵ Adam and his wife were both naked,^(A) and they felt no shame.

⁷ Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;^(A) so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.^(B)

⁸ Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking^(C) in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid^(D) from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
