The Garden of Eden

2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and ^(A)all the host of them, were finished. ^2 (B)And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. ³ Then God ^(C)blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

⁴ For after ^(A)seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth ^(B)forty days and forty nights, and I will ^[a]destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.”

¹⁰ And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.

¹⁰ And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark.

¹² So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore.
